I'm the oldest of three children, Alabama is home for my family and me. My sister settled in the mid-west and my brother must have the longest drawl in New England. My dad died in 2000 but thankfully mother still lives nearby as well as my in-laws.
I entered Auburn University straight out of high school (1982) but moved back home lovesick and out of money two semesters later and finished my undergraduate work at The University of North Alabama with no regrets.
Just a few years after moving back home (1985) I married my high school sweetheart, Melisa, and we have two children; Chris and Ashley. We all enjoy traveling and like music—though not necessarily the same genres!
Vocationally, I followed in my father’s footsteps, entering the sales profession fairly young, and have served in the financial services industry for the last twelve years.
Theologically, I am thankful for a God fearing mother. I’m certain those childhood underpinnings set the stage for the zeal I have today for God’s word. Aside from the bible, I mostly read books that have been tested by time.
Writing is an aside that has evolved over the years. I penned my first article for a local newspaper in 2006 and have since grown to enjoy the art more and more. I’ve got a couple of books in the back of my mind that I hope the Lord brings to fruition down the road.
Whether as a husband, father, salesman or writer, my prayer and desire is to glorify God in everything I do.
God bless.
